Surrounded by the green hills of the Pierle valley, only a few miles away from the Etruscan town of Cortona, lies the Country House Rocca di Pierle, an ideal place to seek and find tranquillity and peace. The completely restored farm house, which opened in June 2004, overlooks a beautiful valley and is bathed from early morning to evening by warm sunshine. Beside the apartments the adjoining storeroom has been restored and is now used as a breakfast room and is available to guests for their lunches and dinners. Rocca di Pierle Country House is only 10 miles from Cortona, and is 500 m above sea level and 2 km to Mercatale

Its central position is within easy reach of the major cultural locations and natural areas of Tuscany and Umbria., such as Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Rome. Vineyards nearby include the Chianti region, Montalcino and Montepulciano. After their excursions guests can relax in the Country House's own swimming pool (7,5 x 14 m) and enjoy the breathtaking natural surroundings.

The Cambusa is, thanks to its location right next to the apartments, the ideal place to share breakfasts, lunches, dinners and relaxation moments in the coolness of this charming room. Apartment Il Monte

"Il Monte" is in the building's upper store. From the windows of the 70mq² apartment one has an unobstructed view on the wood covered hills surrounding the big castle. The apartment features two double bed rooms or beds for 4 persons. The other rooms: living room ( with kitchenette and fireplace), shower equipped bathroom (like the other two apartments). There are also satellite-TV and telephone. As one can see in the pictures most of the old furniture has been recovered, the rest of the rooms has been furnished in the typical Tuscan style.

Apartment la Valle

The La Valle apartment is on the ground floor and derives its name from the breathtaking panoramic view on the entire Pierle valley and the Niccone river. Also this apartment has a private entrance, two double bed rooms, living room (with sofa bed), fireplace, kitchenette and bathroom. The 70 mq² apartment can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. As with all other apartments, during restructuring special attention was given to materials and the ancient design typical of the region without forgetting the most modern accessories, such as satellite-TV and telephone in all rooms.

Apartment La Loggia

The 55 mq² La Loggia apartment is on the first floor and derives its name from a small but most beautiful arcade protecting the entrance. From here one has a magnificent view on the immense castle.
